Ingredients
2-3 ripe bananas – The riper, the better—they add all the sweetness!
1 cup sugar – Feel free to swap with brown sugar for a richer flavor.
1 teaspoon baking soda – This will give it that nice rise.
1 cup all-purpose flour – The base of your lovely loaf.
Instructions
Preheat the oven. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) while you get ready to mix things up!
Mash the bananas. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Don’t worry if it’s a little chunky; that’s just personality!
Mix in the ingredients. Add the sugar and baking soda to the mashed bananas, stirring until combined. Finally, fold in the flour until just mixed—be careful not to overmix; we want a tender loaf!
Pour into a pan. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan with a little cooking spray or butter and pour in the batter. Smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake. Pop it in the oven and bake for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Your kitchen is about to smell amazing!
Cool and slice. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice it up and enjoy it warm, or toasted with a little butter if you’re feeling fancy!

Storage: This banana bread keeps well on the counter, covered for a few days, or you can wrap it up and freeze it for later.
Brown bananas? If they look too far gone for eating, don’t toss them! Just freeze them until you’re ready to bake.
