Ingredients
- 1. Pasta (tortellini, penne, rotini, or spaghetti)
- 2. Thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
- 3. Provolone cheese (or mozzarella, white cheddar)
- 4. Yellow onions
- 5. Green bell peppers (or red peppers, mushrooms)
- 6. Heavy cream
- 7. Butter
- 8. Garlic
- 9. Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 10. Salt
- 11. Pepper
- 12. Garlic powder
- 13. Onion powder
- 14. Red pepper flakes (optional)
- 15. Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- 3. Add the sliced onions and peppers to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- 4. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- 5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- 6. Add the cooked pasta, steak, onions, and peppers to the skillet with the cream sauce. Toss to combine.
- 7. Top the pasta with slices of provolone cheese. Cover the skillet and cook until the cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes.
